Royal Highland Show Bluetongue Policy 2025
We understand the growing concern surrounding the current Bluetongue situation and want to reassure you, our exhibitors, that RHASS and everyone at the Royal Highland Show is taking a proactive and precautionary approach.
We are closely monitoring the situation and are working in partnership with APHA to ensure the right policies and procedures are in place to prioritise the health and wellbeing of all animals and exhibitors.
As the legislation around movement restrictions is subject to change, we want to be transparent and that current rules may not remain the same by the time of the Show.
To provide clarity and reassurance. RHASS will implement the policy below, which covers eligibility for entry and refund arrangements should the Bluetongue situation evolve.
- Entries will not be accepted from any exhibitor in a restriction zone at the time of entry.
- Any exhibitor who moves into a restriction zone between the time of entry and the Show is therefore unable to attend and will be offered a refund (minus an admin fee of £10 per order).
- Exhibitors who are unaffected by Bluetongue restrictions will remain subject to our standard terms & conditions, listed in the schedule.
We remain committed to keeping all exhibitors informed and supported. Should Government guidance change, we will continue to work closely with APHA and will communicate any updates as soon as possible.
