Royal Highland Show Bluetongue Policy 2026
In advance of entries opening RHASS has implemented the following Bluetongue Policy for the Royal Highland Show 2026.
We are closely monitoring the situation and are working in partnership with APHA and the Official Show Vet to ensure the right policies and procedures are in place to prioritise the safety of all animals.
As the situation and legislation around movement restrictions is subject to change, we want to be transparent and make it clear that the current rules may not remain the same at the time of the Show. Any required changes will be communicated to all exhibitors.
To provide clarity and reassurance RHASS will implement the policy below, which covers eligibility for entry and refund arrangements should the Bluetongue situation evolve.
- Exhibitors within a restriction zone (England & Wales) will be able to enter and attend, following Government movement regulations.
- Any exhibitor within a restriction zone that has movement restrictions implemented between the time of entry and the show, will be unable to attend and will be offered a refund.
- Exhibitors who are not in any Bluetongue restriction zone will remain subject to our standard terms & conditions, listed in the schedule.
